Role Summary
StaffRight Associates is seeking a skilled Endpoint Automation Engineer to join our client’s team in Buffalo. In this role, you will be the primary architect for enterprise-level device management, focusing on the design, deployment, and optimization of SCCM environments. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that software delivery and system configurations are seamless, secure, and highly automated.
Key Responsibilities
Architect Endpoint Solutions: Build and maintain robust SCCM infrastructures tailored for high-scale enterprise environments.
Packaging & Workflow Automation: Create, test, and distribute software packages. You’ll be tasked with refining packaging standards and automating deployment workflows to minimize manual intervention.
Lifecycle & Patch Management: Oversee OS deployments (OSD), patch cycles, and configuration baselines to ensure the fleet remains secure and standardized.
Advanced Problem Resolution: Act as the final escalation point for complex system failures, deployment errors, and client-side infrastructure issues.
Strategic Systems Design: Collaborate on the evolution of endpoint infrastructure, integrating complex applications and virtual technologies into the broader enterprise ecosystem.
Requirements Translation: Partner with stakeholders to turn high-level business goals into detailed technical specifications and scalable system designs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure endpoint tools align with global IT standards.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ Years of Engineering Experience: Proven track record in systems engineering, infrastructure design, or managing complex application environments.
SCCM Mastery: Deep expertise in Microsoft Configuration Manager for software distribution, patch management, and reporting.
Automation Mindset: Significant experience in software packaging and the creation of automated installation scripts/processes.
Enterprise Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix deep-seated issues within server/client relationships and virtualized environments.
Analytical Documentation: Skilled at gathering technical requirements and producing clear, actionable system documentation.
Process Driven: A meticulous approach to deployment cycles, ensuring consistency and reliability across thousands of endpoints.
