Job Description:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
  • The Azure Senior Data Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing modern data platforms using cloud-based technologies.
  • This role focuses on building scalable data architectures, managing data orchestration pipelines, and implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices for data solutions.
  • The position also ensures secure deployments, effective workspace management, and reliable operational controls while supporting modernization initiatives and data platform governance.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement modern data architecture patterns including data factory solutions, lakehouse, and warehouse environments.
  • Design and manage workspace deployments and operational governance controls.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform artifacts.
  • Implement source control practices including Git integration and effective branching strategies.
  • Develop automated build and deployment pipelines using DevOps practices.
  • Manage secure credential and secret handling for deployment pipelines.
  • Implement automated delivery models using YAML-based pipelines.
  • Design and maintain scalable data orchestration pipelines for enterprise data workloads.
  • Support migration and modernization initiatives for data integration pipelines.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, logging, and alerting practices for data platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable and secure data operations.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern data platform technologies including data factory, lakehouse, warehouse, and workspace lifecycle management.
  • Strong experience with data orchestration platforms such as Azure Data Factory or equivalent solutions.
  • Expertise in Git-based source control, branching strategies, and release governance.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals including virtual networks, DNS, and routing.
  • Experience with private connectivity patterns including private endpoints.
  • Strong understanding of identity-based access control, role-based access control, and managed identities.
Should Have:
  • Experience migrating or modernizing pipelines from traditional data orchestration platforms to modern data factory solutions.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting using cloud-native tools.
Skills:
  • Microsoft Fabric.

Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field preferred.
