Job Description

Material Controllers / Planners are responsible for managing inventory, forecasting demand, and coordinating material procurement to ensure parts and materials are available to support production schedules—without excess inventory. This role balances supply chain constraints, maintains accurate MRP/ERP data, collaborates with suppliers and internal teams, and optimizes inventory levels to reduce cost while supporting manufacturing operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage MRP/ERP systems

• Forecast demand and plan material orders to meet production requirements

• Identify and resolve material shortages; expedite critical components as needed

• Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams

• Monitor, analyze, and report inventory performance and key supply metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field

• Strong experience working with ERP/MRP systems

• Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills
