Lead Controls Systems Engineer - Data Centers

Seeking an experienced Lead Controls Systems Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and integrated controls solutions for hyperscale data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
This position will provide technical leadership throughout the controls design process, coordinate with multidisciplinary MEP/FP teams, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and BIM/CAD resources, and oversee complex project deliverables. The Lead Engineer will also provide direction to project teams, delegate assignments, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a key technical interface with clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of BAS and EPMS design experience, with significant experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, data center, or other critical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of BAS, EPMS, DDC, PLC, IoT, and smart-building technologies
- Experience with data center HVAC controls and chilled-water plant strategies
- Working knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT, and related OT communication protocols
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including LANs, VLANs, addressing, switches, and routers
- Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of controls-related construction documents, codes, energy requirements, and project delivery
- Ability to develop technical solutions, evaluate design options, and guide clients through controls-system decisions
- Strong project leadership, delegation, mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments and deadlines in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct client interaction
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies used to improve engineering and operational workflows
