Position: Senior Java Developer with AI Engineering

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 12 Months Contract position

Must have Experience in AI and Reconciliation

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, cloud-native application development, and AI Engineering skills. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable, high-performance enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Experience in Reconciliation module development is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in application design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop secure, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Work on AI-enabled solutions, including integration of AI/ML services, intelligent automation, and data-driven application enhancements.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of reconciliation workflows and related enterprise modules, if applicable.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17/21.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Microservices.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
