Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Persons will be considered. As a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is required. Ability to apply and obtain a US government security clearance is required.

Position Summary

The Senior Quality Manager provides site-level leadership and full accountability for all Quality functions, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO, and customer requirements across the product lifecycle from development and new product introduction through production, supply chain, and field support.

This role will lead a multidisciplinary team of Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, and Inspectors, driving a culture of zero defects, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continual improvement.

  • Lead and manage the site Quality organization, including 8 direct reports (4 Quality Engineers, 3 Quality Technicians, and 1 Quality Supervisor overseeing 8 Inspectors).
  • Ensure compliance and maintenance of AS9100 and ISO certifications, including planning and coordination of internal audits.
  • Oversee the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to ensure timely resolution of nonconformities and prevention of recurrence.
  • Interface directly with customers to manage quality expectations, audits, and issue resolution.
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities per AS9145, integrating customer and regulatory requirements into new product development and introduction.
  • Manage supplier quality performance including selection and qualification to ongoing monitoring and corrective actions.
  • Drive the deployment of zero-defect initiatives, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies to continuously improve site quality metrics and product reliability.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies, organizational structure, and performance systems aligned with site and corporate business goals.
  • Mentor and develop the Quality team in root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and quality engineering tools.
  • Analyze statistical data and trends (SPC, Minitab) to predict and prevent quality issues.
  • Support compliance with IPC-A-610 Class 3, J-STD-001, and other relevant aerospace and defense manufacturing standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (BSEE strongly preferred; ME, Materials, or Chemical Engineering also considered).
  • 5+ years of Quality Management experience in electronics manufacturing (defense, aerospace, or high-reliability environments strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of management experience leading Quality Engineers and Technicians in a manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on experience in product development and NPI, not limited to production or inspection activities.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9100, and related quality standards.
  • Experience with FRACAS, APQP/PPAP, and AS9145 methodologies.
  • Proficient with quality tools such as SPC, Minitab, FMEA, and root cause/corrective action processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ CQM/CQE certification.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma implementation in manufacturing environments.
  • Direct experience working with DCMA/DLA.
