Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Scientist - Hybrid (3 days/week) for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Addison, TX. We are looking for a Data Scientist who will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining document capture applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering with experience in building Machine Learning NLP Models and a good familiarity with Gen AI Models. This role requires an on-site presence three days a week.
Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain document capture applications
- Collaborate with a diverse set of partners and stakeholders from various lines of business
- Set up supervised and unsupervised learning ML/NLP models, including data cleaning, data analytics, feature creation, model selection, and performance metrics visualization
- Manage ML/NLP development pipelines of large structured and unstructured data sets
- Navigate enterprise data assets across multiple functions
Requirements: - 7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
- At least 5 years of programming experience in software development and Agile processes
- At least 5 years of Python (or equivalent) programming experience to work with ML/NLP models
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-scale ML/NLP solutions in one or more of the following: Named Entity Recognition, Document Classification, Document Summarization, Topic Modelling, Dialog Systems, Sentiment Analysis, or OCR text processing
- Deep understanding and some exposure to new Gen AI Open-source Models
- Knowledge and hands-on experience working with OCR products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Must be client-focused
Desired skills: - Master's degree in Computer Science/Data Science, or a related technical field
- Highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Critical thinker with the ability to analyze problems, identify issues, and provide solutions
- Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced environment
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
