Whether or not you serve in a clinical role, every member of the Cleveland Clinic team is a caregiver. As a Systems Analyst IV, being a caregiver begins in the office, where you will apply your technical expertise to automated system products through all phases of development, including design, implementation, modification, feasibility testing, and evaluation. In this Epic ASAP analyst role, you will support the application through service requests, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure optimal performance. Your work will help teams stay connected, informed, and equipped with the groundbreaking tools and technologies that impact patients across the globe.
A caregiver in this role works remotely Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation once a month.A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Maintain IT products, including planning and obtaining customer input and knowledge of the existing functionality and limitations.
- Serve as the technical expertise, providing guidance and direction to other professional staff and resolving complex problems.
- Participate in developing strategic plans for systems/applications development and modification within area of expertise.
- Review system requirements with customers and translate requirements into specific functions or deliverables.
- Analyze low chart processes and recommend ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through technology.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field and six years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning, and scheduling a major information system project
- OR Associate's Degree and seven years of experience
- OR High School Diploma/GED and nine years of experience
- For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of hire
- Strong analytical, administrative, presentation, and project management skills
- Understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
- Knowledge of messaging technology
- Understanding of principles of client/server configuration
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- ASAP certified
- General Epic experience
- Previous clinical experience
Physical Requirements:- Requires the ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time, normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to walk to various locations throughout the Foundation and to function in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
