Job Description
We are seeking a Network Technician to join our team. The candidate will have strong experience in Juniper routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and firewall platforms with proven ability to lead L2/L3 network support, drive incident resolution, and improve network scalability through automation.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network infrastructure and provide L2/L3 support.
- Lead shift teams, manage P1/P2 escalations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Handle incidents and tasks using defined processes and workflows.
- Communicate status and impact to end users and business stakeholders.
- Administer Juniper routing, switching, wireless, and WAN technologies using tools and automation.
- Manage Juniper firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and SSL VPNs.
- Administer RADIUS components integrated with network devices.
- Analyze infrastructure utilization and plan capacity across physical and virtual network elements.
- Perform upgrades to maintain supported patch levels.
- Troubleshoot complex multi-network interactions.
- Author technical documentation including incident RCA.
- Learn and adopt new routing, switching, wireless, and WAN technologies.
- Improve processes and scalability through network automation.
- Work in shift rotation with bi-weekly weekend coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years with Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Aruba, or Extreme Networks equipment.
- 2+ years in capacity planning, network security principles, and network management best practices, including telco engagement across countries.
- Hands-on with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, STP, QoS/CoS, NetFlow, OpenFlow, MPLS, SIP, VRRP, and HSRP.
- Experience delivering connectivity in datacenters, labs, offices, and cloud environments with cross-team collaboration.
- Proven debugging of connectivity and device issues with vendors, datacenters, and on-site teams.
- Understanding of datacenter technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, and MC-LAG.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, WAN optimization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with wireless solutions such as Mist or similar.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and documentation including flow diagrams.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments and ITIL processes.
- Experience with IPv6, next-generation firewalls, NAC, VMware, or cloud computing.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication in English with clear stakeholder updates.
- Broad IT knowledge with scripting experience in Ansible, Python, or Ruby for automation.

Role Logistics
- Schedule: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM PST in Daylight Time, one hour earlier in Standard Time, with bi-weekly weekend shift. Overtime may be required.
