ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Senior Associate with a technology company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in New Albany, OH. This is an onsite position Summary: This role will lead and support manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. The specialist will independently execute small to mid-scale continuous improvement projects, from problem definition through implementation and sustainment, by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting manufacturing performance data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities: - Lead root cause analysis to identify the failure mode using tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, KT, process mapping, and risk assessments
- Lead discussions to reduce, correct, mitigate and prevent the reoccurrence of events based on root cause analysis
- Perform trend investigations, including statistical assessment of data to identify trends, and generate final technical reports
- Review prior day manufacturing performance metrics to identify gaps to standard and potential improvement opportunities
- Attend daily operations meetings to understand current production challenges and align CI priorities with floor needs
- Conduct Gemba walks on assigned manufacturing areas to observe processes, validate standard work adherence, and engage operators
- Partner with operators, engineers, or maintenance to test countermeasures and refine improvement concepts
- Update or draft standard work, work instructions, or visual management based on improvement findings
- Execute CI project actions such as implementing process changes, piloting improvements, or supporting Kaizen activities
Requirements: - Doctorate degree OR
- Master's degree and 3 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience OR
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience OR
- Associate's degree and 10 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience OR
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience
- Lean / Six Sigma continuous improvement experience (DMAIC, root cause analysis)
- Data-driven problem-solving skills
- Experience developing kaizens, standard work, work instructions, and visual management
- Excellent communication skills
Desired skills: - 5+ years of proven ability in investigation processes
- Strong technical writing skills
- Proven Six Sigma proficiency for root cause analysis methodology
- Understanding and application of Drug Substance process, data mining, quality and compliance
- Experience in leading continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
- Project Management experience
Pay range: Up to $22.32 per Hour
