Automotive EDI Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Automotive EDI Technical Lead with a strong background in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and ERP system integrations within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading EDI initiatives, optimizing system integrations, and ensuring seamless data exchange between business applications and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of EDI solutions within the automotive supply chain.
• Manage ERP system integrations, ensuring effective data exchange between business applications and partners.
• Oversee EDI mapping, translation, and transaction processing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Business teams to implement best practices for data security, system connectivity, and automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction errors, working with trading partners and vendors to optimize performance.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, including OEM and supplier requirements.
• Optimize ERP workflows, supporting modules related to procurement, logistics, and production planning.
• Provide technical leadership in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Mentor and guide technical teams in EDI and ERP best practices.
• Work closely with vendors and service providers for system enhancements and technical support.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus on EDI and ERP integrations.
• Expertise in EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, VDA) and related tools.
• Hands-on experience with ERP system integration and data transformation.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP, VANs) for secure data transfer.
• Proficiency in EDI mapping, translation, and automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Plex, SAP, or other major ERP platforms.
• Familiarity with API integrations and middleware solutions.
• Certification in EDI or ERP-related technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms.
