Job Overview:

As a Scrum Master, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver agile, high-velocity software capabilities to our Intelligence Community customer in Springfield, VA. Your leadership will keep development teams unblocked, focused, and continuously improving - driving our commitment to disciplined agile delivery and mission-ready software.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guide the scrum team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team
  • Organize and facilitate sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile events
  • Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management
  • Assist the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories that are clearly articulated with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
  • Assist with internal and external communication
  • Assist product owners with backlog grooming
  • Assist the team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Determine and remove impediments that interfere with the team's ability to deliver assigned goals
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Promote continuous improvement and help teams increase velocity
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity, and innovation
  • Collaborate with fellow scrum masters to promote best practices

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience

Clearance Requirements

  • Active DoD TS/SCI

$110,000 - $155,000 a year

This is the likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Certification Requirements

Most of our contracts require DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) compliance. We built 8140.study - our certification training platform - to help. This helps you study for certifications such as the CompTIA Security+.
