Job Description

We are seeking 2 Mainframe Software Engineers to support the following squad and the broader modernization efforts for Fifth Third bank in conjunction with the acquisition work with Comerica Bank.

Top skills include along with workstream alignment:
Strong mainframe engineering experience, including:
o COBOL
o JCL
o DB2
o VSAM

Payment Orchestration - This squad is building an orchestration layer that translates and normalizes incoming payment files such as Comerica s integrated payables formats into Fifth Third s standard payment rails without requiring clients to change their existing integrations. They also provide a centralized data translation service ensuring all channels remain compliant with the upcoming ISO20022 structured address requirements, even if those channels are unable to support the upgrades independently. They are seeking two individuals that have EDI experience. The goal for this effort is to map payments and help with the transformation efforts with the Mainframe integrated payables work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication skills will be required given the cross collaboration across all commercial banking squads.
