Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake cloud data warehousing and modern ELT development using dbt (Core or Cloud). The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency in advanced SQL, scalable data pipeline development, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

The candidate will lead technical design and implementation, establish CI/CD and data quality practices, and mentor offshore data engineering teams while ensuring high-quality delivery in an onsite–offshore model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development, and implementation of scalable, production-grade ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.

• Develop and maintain dbt models using incremental loading, snapshots, and reusable transformation patterns.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Optimize Snowflake workloads, warehouse utilization, and query performance.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines for dbt development, testing, and deployment.

• Integrate orchestration tools and establish reliable data pipeline execution processes.

• Implement automated data quality testing, monitoring, and observability frameworks.

• Enforce Snowflake security, access controls, and data governance best practices.

• Use Git and DevOps-driven deployment practices to manage code changes and releases.

• Lead technical design reviews, define engineering standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Mentor offshore data engineering team members and collaborate across onsite–offshore teams to drive delivery.

• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve data pipeline reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake cloud data warehousing.

• Proven expertise in dbt (Core or Cloud) for data transformation and modeling.

• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.

• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade ELT pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with incremental models, snapshots, and data transformation strategies.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for dbt projects.

• Knowledge of orchestration tools, automated testing, data quality, and observability.

• Strong understanding of Snowflake security and cloud data platform best practices.

• Proficiency in Git, version control, and DevOps-driven deployment practices.

• Experience leading technical design reviews and mentoring data engineering teams.

• Ability to work effectively in an onsite–offshore delivery model.
