Summary

Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive IT Infrastructure & Support Specialist to manage the physical and virtual backbone of our technology operations. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focusing on the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of hardware and network systems. You will lead the transition from initial setup (hardware provisioning) to full operational support, ensuring 99.9% uptime and rapid resolution of technical bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Deployment: Lead the physical installation and configuration of server racks, network switches, and firewalls. Perform hands-on cable management, hardware mounting, and data center organization.
Network & Systems Administration: Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN integrity, VPN gateways, and wireless access points. Manage virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud-based resources (Azure/AWS).
Hardware Lifecycle Management: Execute the full lifecycle of employee workstations and mobile devices, from initial imaging and provisioning to hardware repair and secure decommissioning.
Active Directory & Identity Management: Manage user permissions, Group Policies (GPOs), and Microsoft 365 administration to ensure secure and efficient access across the organization.
Triage & Technical Support: Act as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues. Troubleshoot OS-level bugs, connectivity failures, and peripheral hardware malfunctions in real-time.
Disaster Recovery: Maintain and test automated backup solutions and recovery protocols to ensure business continuity in the event of hardware failure.

Core Competencies:

Hardware Fluency: Expert-level knowledge of PC/Server components, storage arrays (SAN/NAS), and networking hardware (Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti).
Software Proficiency: Strong grasp of Windows/Linux Server environments, PowerShell scripting for automation, and ITSM ticketing platforms.
Problem-Solving: A find-and-fix mentality with the ability to diagnose root causes rather than just treating symptoms.

Qualifications:

Technical Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Associate (preferred but not required for experienced hands-on techs).
Experience: 3–5 years in a role that required physical hardware interaction and complex system troubleshooting.
