• Experience with mobile application projects from the IT side • Ideally retail experience • Not a stranger to AI • React Native experience - enough to contribute informed perspective to the platform decision • Budget, vendor-spend, and financial tracking experience • Strong project/program management skills - format this without missing anything o Deeply organized o Ability to come up with a detailed plan with milestones o Someone who can proactively work with other groups to understand their tasks and drive them to completion o Someone who is not just an order taker, but someone who will question and push back if they think things could be done differently • Someone who can present status at an executive level – likely up to CIO, maybe higher • Senior-level PM/program management capability appropriate for a highly visible initiative. • Exceptional communication skills and ability to operate effectively with senior/executive leadership, including CIO-level conversations and potentially CEO-level preparation/interactions. • Proactive leadership: not an order taker; able to independently identify gaps, make recommendations and drive work forward. • Strong technical-program fluency: understands when API/integration, security, UI, testing, backend/data and test-data considerations enter the lifecycle. Coding ability is not required. • Cross-functional coordination: capable of driving dependencies among engineering/API, integrations, security, architecture, technical leadership, vendors and business stakeholders. • Hands-on project management: personally develops project plans, milestones and associated detailed PM work rather than delegating it to an analyst. • Ability to enter a very early-stage program and help drive vendor selection, planning and design/architecture coordination. Ideal candidate profile Think senior technical program leader who still likes doing the work, rather than a high-level portfolio PM. The strongest profile would show: • Led a customer-facing application or similarly complex enterprise technology initiative from early planning through delivery. • Strong evidence of taking an undefined initiative and creating the roadmap, milestones, dependencies and governance necessary to move it forward. • Experience coordinating application engineering, APIs, integrations, architecture, testing/data and security teams. • Enough mobile knowledge to challenge assumptions and identify missing workstreams, without presenting themselves as the solution architect or developer. • Examples of driving vendors and internal engineering teams simultaneously. • Executive communication experience, paired with willingness to personally maintain the project plan and chase dependencies. • Proactive behavior: can explain what they discovered, what they recommended and what they drove, rather than only describing meetings they facilitate
