Tableau Developer

Introduction:

The Tableau Developer will be responsible for designing and developing Tableau dashboards and reports using data from Hive tables. They will collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and define KPIs/metrics, as well as perform basic SQL analysis to validate data and troubleshoot issues. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Tableau and the ability to independently build accurate, high-performance dashboards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports using data from Hive tables
• Independently build dashboards ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and define KPIs/metrics
• Perform basic SQL analysis to validate data and troubleshoot issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation (unit test cases, implementation notes)
• Participate in client calls and clearly communicate status, challenges, and solutions

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau (dashboards, reports, visualizations)
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation and analysis
• Experience working with Hive tables / big-data sources
• Ability to independently develop reports and dashboards
• Experience gathering requirements and defining KPIs/metrics with business users
• Good communication skills and ability to participate in client calls
• Experience creating technical documentation (test cases, implementation notes)
