Job Summary:

  • The Lead Enterprise Architect owns the technical vision, infrastructure strategy, and product architecture for our healthcare ecosystem.
  • This hands-on role designs scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that directly support behavioral health and clinical applications.
  • You will operate with full-time bandwidth to bridge the gap between high-level business strategy, digital product development, and core infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Strategy: Align business goals with a scalable, secure, and resilient technology roadmap across all health system entities.
  • Product Architecture: Design and oversee the development of behavioral health digital products, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust backend systems.
  • Infrastructure Design: Architect hybrid-cloud and on-premise infrastructure optimized for high availability, disaster recovery, and clinical application hosting.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Lead from the front by writing architectural blueprints, building proof-of-concepts, and directly auditing code or infrastructure configurations.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all systems strictly adhere to HIPAA, HITRUST, and state-level behavioral health privacy laws (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2).
  • Interoperability Management: Design data pipelines and integrations connecting Electronic Health Records (EHRs) with external clinical and financial systems.
  • Core Technical Requirements
  • Health System Interoperability: Deep mastery of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and EDI data standards.
  • EHR Ecosystems: Hands-on integration experience with major platforms like Epic, Cerner, or specialized behavioral health EHRs (e.g., Credible, Netsmart).
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Advanced engineering skills in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, alongside containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Data Privacy Frameworks: Expert knowledge of patient data encryption, identity access management (IAM), and strict audit logging mechanisms.
  • Legacy Modernization: Proven track record of decomposing monolithic legacy health systems into modern microservices.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years in IT, with at least 8+ years dedicated to Enterprise or Solution Architecture within a hospital system or behavioral health network.
  • Domain Expertise: Documented success delivering customer-facing healthcare products or specialized behavioral health platforms.
  • Availability: 100% full-time commitment with a dedicated focus on execution and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Certifications (Preferred): TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Professional, CHPS, or CISSP.
