Remote
Required Experience
• ChromeOS / Linux kernel engineering: sustained hands-on work with Chromium OS and the Linux kernel driver debugging, CVE backporting, and core subsystem troubleshooting (USB, display, audio, power).
• Release engineering: demonstrated ownership of release-candidate lifecycles, branch qualification, and build
pipelines for OS-level or embedded platforms.
• Diagnostics & RCA: strong system log parsing, crash dump analysis, and multi-device/peripheral interaction
debugging.
• Tooling: fluent with distributed version control/review systems (Git, Gerrit) and issue-tracking platforms.
• Availability: can commit to a minimum 4–6-hour daily overlap with US Eastern Time, onshore or nearshore.
Preferred / Differentiating
• Meeting-room hardware ecosystems: experience with video-conferencing peripherals — cameras, soundbars,
touch controllers, firmware integration and test harnesses.
• Large-scale internal tooling: comfort ramping quickly on client-proprietary engineering infrastructure (code
review systems, internal issue trackers, telemetry/analytics tooling, elevated-access workflows).
• Legacy/embedded platforms: experience maintaining custom OS distributions, bootloaders (e.g. U-Boot), and
firmware update utilities for legacy peripheral compute units.
• AI-agentic delivery: track record deploying generative AI or agentic automation inside QA or bug-triage pipelines
to drive measurable efficiency gains.
