UFT Automation Engineer / UFT Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced UFT Automation Engineer / Architect to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using UFT (Unified Functional Testing). The candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT (QTP)

• Build and enhance automation frameworks (Keyword / Hybrid / Data-driven)

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing

• Integrate UFT scripts with ALM / Quality Center

• Analyze requirements and convert them into automated test cases

• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results

• Collaborate with development teams to identify, log, and track defects

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation execution

• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance (Architect role)

• Ensure test coverage and quality standards across applications

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing

• Strong hands-on experience with UFT / QTP

• Proficiency in VBScript

• Experience with ALM / Quality Center

• Solid understanding of SDLC & STLC

• Experience in Regression, Functional, and Smoke testing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP / Oracle / Mainframe / Web-based applications

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

• Experience in Utilities / Energy / Healthcare / Finance domains

• Exposure to Worksoft Certify is a plus

• Prior Architect or Lead experience preferred
