Summary

Senior DevOps Engineer (Docker / CI-CD Focused)

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Docker-based application delivery to design, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments. This role is hands-on and highly technical, with a strong focus on containerization, automation, and developer enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines using YAML, triggers, build agents, and deployment strategies
Containerize applications using Docker, including Java, Spring Boot, WebLogic, and Node.js services
Build, manage, and optimize Docker images, build packs, and container workflows within CI/CD pipelines
Deploy and manage containerized workloads on Azure, including AKS and App Services
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure resource provisioning
Integrate CI/CD pipelines for Dockerized applications across cloud and on-prem environments
Automate operational tasks using Shell and Python scripting
Configure and maintain Apache HTTPD and application server deployments
Develop self-service CI/CD capabilities within GitHub Enterprise Cloud
Train and mentor developers on Docker, CI/CD, and container best practices
Partner with DevOps Tools and Automation teams to continuously improve platform maturity

Qualifications

10+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong hands-on experience with Docker containerization in production environments
Expertise in GitHub Actions, YAML-based CI/CD pipelines, and release automation
Experience deploying Dockerized applications to Azure (AKS, App Services)
Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, WebLogic, Node.js, and containerized application servers
Familiarity with Apache HTTPD configuration
Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and container security best practices
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience mentoring developers on Docker and CI/CD workflows is a plus
