Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager IT Data Governance in Milwaukee, WI.

Overview:
We are looking for a Data Governance leader who can help bring structure, ownership, and accountability to enterprise data. This person will work with business and IT teams to improve data quality, define ownership, establish governance processes, and support data-driven decision making across the organization.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate understands both the business and technical sides of data governance and can drive adoption of new processes and tools.

Essential Functions:
* Lead enterprise data governance initiatives across key data domains such as Customer, Product, Vendor, or other business-critical data areas
* Facilitate Data Governance Council meetings and drive action items to completion
* Partner with business and technology leaders to identify data owners, define responsibilities, and establish governance standards
* Improve data quality by helping implement governance processes, business rules, monitoring, and reporting
* Build and maintain governance roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans
* Work closely with analytics, reporting, and business teams to ensure data supports business decision-making
* Support organizational change management and user adoption of governance tools and processes
* Develop data literacy programs, training materials, and governance communications
* Participate in AI governance discussions and help establish data-related controls and best practices
* Track and report on governance metrics, data quality performance, and program progress
* Manage governance-related software licensing and vendor relationships

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, or a related area
* Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving business and IT stakeholders
* Strong understanding of data governance principles, data ownership, data quality, and metadata management
* Experience developing roadmaps, priorities, and governance programs
* Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working in large enterprise environments

Nice to Have:
* CDMP certification
* Experience implementing data governance frameworks such as COBIT
* Experience with Data Quality, MDM, Data Catalog, or Metadata Management tools
* Knowledge of AI Governance initiatives and frameworks
* Azure Fundamentals or Azure Data Fundamentals certifications
* Experience with Precisely Automate Studio or ArcGIS

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
