JOB DESCRIPTION

We're seeking a talented VBA developer to join us on a contract basis and help elevate our financial modeling and reporting infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work alongside our finance team to build technical solutions that transform how we manage and communicate financial data.

Technical Excellence

• Expert-level proficiency in Excel with Visual Basic (VBA) and Macros
• Proven ability to architect and automate complex financial workflows
• Systems-thinking mindset with a track record of turning chaotic data into actionable insights
• Experience designing scalable data architecture and tool standardization

Financial Acumen

• Deep understanding of general accounting principles, financial risk management, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical implementation and executive-level financial strategy

Problem-Solving Orientation

• Comfort translating complex business requirements from executives into technical solutions

Role Details:

• Design and build VBA macros and automation solutions to streamline financial reporting workflows
• Create robust data models and standardized reporting tools across departments
• Develop dashboards for financial data management
• Architect end-to-end reporting solutions that balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency
• Automate legacy processes while helping guide the transition toward modern BI tools
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing financial models and spreadsheet applications

Preferred Background

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance operations or financial reporting
• Media & Entertainment industry experience is preferred
• Exposure to data governance and financial controls frameworks
