Summary
Job Title: Sr. VMWare Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+Months
Start Date: ASAP.
Job Description
Key tasks performed:
• Coordination of migration work with project team
• Actioning tasks to setup large volumes of VMs for migrations
• Investigate problems and errors with VM migrations
• Work through issues both with team members and vendors through to completion
• A small amount of weekend work is anticipated
Skills:
• Technical background including good experience with virtualization environments and core network concepts
• Strong technical knowledge and experience on the following VMWare products: ESXi, vSphere, vSAN
• Good technical knowledge and experience with the following products: HCX, vRA/vAA, Ansible, YAML
• Experience in an Operational role resolving VMWare based technical problems
• Technical experience in large scale VM migration projects
• Comfortable dealing with both technical and non-technical team members
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to deal with large volumes of tasks
• High attention to detail is needed
