Our Opportunity:
As an experienced and motivated cybersecurity policy analyst, you will leverage your professional and technical acumen to develop Department of War technical cybersecurity policy and strategy focused on information and communications technology (i.e., mobile technology, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Zero Trust, etc.) supporting senior-level Department of War clients. You will develop and coordinate information technology policy, strategy, and governance doctrine, conduct industry engagement & outreach, report metrics, and other activities to support Department enterprise capabilities. You will provide support, guidance, and collaborate at the Department level and with combatant commands, services, and agencies to build consensus based on best practices and lessons learned for adoption of current and future technology. You will develop briefings, whitepapers, and other materials for senior Department officials in response to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- BA or BS degree OR equivalent experience.
- Action Officer level experience with briefing and producing work products for senior clients, including GS-15, SES, or Flag Officers.
- Demonstrable experience with technical writing, including security policy, guidance, and memorandums (examples requested).
- Specific experience or knowledge of any of the following: mobile device security, identity, credential, and access management, endpoint security, zero-trust, quantum computing, quantum cryptography, artificial intelligence, and perimeter defense.
- 10 years of experience with information technology (e.g., technical policy writing, systems engineering, systems administration, etc.) for top-level U.S. government agencies.
- Experience with technical writing, whitepaper development, and creating and delivering PowerPoint briefings (examples requested).
Additional Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with IT policies and regulations, including the DoD Cybersecurity 8100/8500/8510 issuances.
- Experience implementing DoD, Intelligence Community, and/or NIST Special Publications.
- Experience as an action officer.
- Experience with the DoD at the staff-level, including OSD, Service Staff, or Joint Staff.
- Military experience.
