Technical SME – Warehouse Print & Scan Services 
The Technical SME – Warehouse Print & Scan Services serves as the primary technical expert for the design, implementation, administration, support, and optimization of warehouse printing, scanning, labeling, and output management technologies supporting SAP-enabled business processes.

This role partners closely with SAP, Supply Chain, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams to deliver reliable, secure, scalable, and highly available warehouse print and scan services. The SME provides technical leadership across warehouse print architecture, SAP output management, barcode technologies, label printing, industrial printers, handheld scanning devices, and supporting infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and administration for SAP-integrated warehouse printing, scanning, and labeling solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP output management processes supporting labels, forms, shipping documents, inventory documents, and warehouse transactions.
• Serve as the technical SME for warehouse print architecture, print routing, output management, and technologies such as VPSX/OutputManager.
• Support Zebra, Honeywell, and other industrial printing and scanning platforms.
• Administer warehouse print servers, print queues, printer configurations, drivers, firmware, and device connectivity.
• Troubleshoot complex SAP printing, barcode, scanning, and label-generation issues that impact warehouse operations.
• Support business-critical warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, cycle counting, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, support documentation, and architecture/design documentation for warehouse print and scan services.
• Collaborate with SAP, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure secure, reliable, and resilient warehouse printing services.
• Provide technical support for modernization initiatives, including cloud-based print technologies, warehouse automation, mobile computing, and advanced barcode solutions.
• Participate in SAP testing, integration validation, cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-go-live production stabilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency across warehouse print and scan environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting warehouse technology, industrial printing, scanning, enterprise infrastructure, or related technologies.
• Demonstrated experience supporting business-critical operational and production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience working with third-party vendors, hardware manufacturers, and technical support organizations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP printing and output management.
• Hands-on experience with VPSX / OutputManager.
• Experience supporting Zebra, Honeywell, Intermec, Datalogic, or similar industrial warehouse technologies.
• Experience with barcode, thermal label, shipping label, and forms-printing technologies.
• Experience supporting warehouse management, supply chain, logistics, or utility operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience with automation technologies, PowerShell, and API-based integrations.
