Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Java Backend with strong hands-on coding expertise to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical leadership and deep backend development skills, with a focus on building scalable, high-performance applications using Java and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Lead backend development initiatives with a strong emphasis on hands-on coding.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to development teams.
Ensure best practices in software development, including performance, security, and scalability.
Drive modernization and optimization of existing systems.
Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10–15 years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on backend development.
Extensive hands-on coding experience in Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices).
Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Prior experience in a technical leadership or managerial role.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience working in hybrid or distributed team environments.

Work Model

Hybrid work setup (onsite + remote) in Dallas, TX.
