Job Title: Senior Desktop Engineer / Desk-Side Support
Engagement: Post Tenant-to-Tenant Microsoft Migration
Location: Onsite in Louisville, Kentucky 5 days a week
Duration: Approximately 6 weeks, with possible extension 6 months

Engagement Overview
This engagement provides onsite desktop engineering and desk-side support following a Microsoft tenant-to-tenant migration. The environment includes Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and a large-scale iPad upgrade. These resources will serve as feet on the ground during post-migration Day 2 support, helping stabilize the environment, resolve end-user issues, and ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
Role Summary
Senior Desktop Engineers will support end users following a tenant-to-tenant Microsoft migration. This includes hands-on support for Windows 11, Microsoft 365 authentication changes, and enterprise-wide iPad upgrades. The role is highly visible and requires strong technical skills, excellent customer interaction, and a willingness to provide direct desk-side support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desk-side support during and after tenant-to-tenant migration activities
- Support Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 post-cutover issues, including Outlook, authentication, and application access
- Execute and support large-scale iPad upgrades and re-authentication efforts across approximately 1,200 to 2,000 devices
- Troubleshoot Active Directory and Azure Active Directory identity, login, and access issues
- Resolve application issues, missing software, and configuration inconsistencies
- Escalate complex issues and collaborate with Microsoft and third-party vendors as needed
- Deliver Day 2 support focused on stabilization and issue resolution
- Serve as a visible, customer-focused onsite support presence
- Ensure high end-user satisfaction and minimal business disruption Scope Clarifications

- Hands-on troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support will include both standard incidents and complex post-migration issues Required Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory authentication
- Experience supporting iPads in an enterprise environment
- Proven background in desktop engineering or desk-side support
- Ability to work independently onsite and engage vendors when required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
