Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale Apache Kafka environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kafka cluster administration, performance tuning, security, automation, and high availability.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters.
✅ Administer Kafka Brokers, ZooKeeper/KRaft, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry.
✅ Monitor cluster health, broker performance, producer latency, and consumer lag using Prometheus, Grafana, and JMX.
✅ Manage topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.
✅ Implement Kafka security using SSL/TLS, SASL, Kerberos, and ACLs.
✅ Troubleshoot Kafka broker, producer, and consumer issues and perform root cause analysis.
✅ Design disaster recovery and high-availability solutions across multiple regions.
✅ Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Kubernetes.
✅ Collaborate with development teams to optimize Kafka producers, consumers, and data pipelines.

Required Skills:

✔ 10+ years of IT experience.
✔ Strong expertise in Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka Administration.
✔ Experience with ZooKeeper and KRaft architecture.
✔ Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
✔ Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and JMX monitoring.
✔ Scripting using Python, Bash, or Java.
✔ Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
✔ Knowledge of Kafka security, replication, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
