Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator

Job Description
AgreeYa is a global systems integrator seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting enterprise Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with RHEL-based systems, server monitoring, scripting, and enterprise infrastructure components, along with the ability to collaborate across teams to support business-critical applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain RHEL/Rocky Linux systems, including system services, users, permissions, processes, logs, storage, and networking
Monitor system performance and availability using tools such as Nagios and proactively identify and resolve issues
Manage package installations, updates, and patches using yum/dnf and support RPM build processes
Develop and maintain automation scripts using BASH and Perl to improve system efficiency and reliability
Configure and support LDAP-based authentication using NSS, PAM, and SSSD
Administer and troubleshoot Sendmail/SMTP services for system and application notifications
Maintain and support database platforms including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, covering upgrades, backup and restore operations, connectivity, and health monitoring
Implement and maintain system security best practices, including patching, SSH hardening, TLS/certificate management, and least-privilege access
Collaborate with application, cloud, and DevOps teams to support infrastructure and application deployments
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience administering RHEL/Rocky Linux systems in enterprise environments
Strong experience with systemd, user and permission management, process monitoring, log analysis, LVM, XFS, and Linux networking
Hands-on experience with server monitoring tools such as Nagios
Proficiency with RHEL package management (yum/dnf) and RPM builds
Experience with BASH and Perl scripting for system automation and administration
Working knowledge of LDAP integration using NSS, PAM, and SSSD
Experience supporting Sendmail/SMTP services
Hands-on experience maintaining Oracle, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL databases, including upgrades and backup/restore operations
Solid understanding of Linux security best practices and system hardening
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity and access management
Experience supporting and upgrading Atlassian Jira and Confluence applications
Familiarity with version control and SDLC tools such as GitLab, Gerrit, Jenkins, and Nexus
Exposure to enterprise DevOps and CI/CD environments
Education Required
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
