Position Overview

Responsible for ensuring reliable and secure data, voice, video, and wireless network services throughout the organization. This includes planning, implementing, and supporting local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), network infrastructure, and related communication systems. The role involves installation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of network hardware, software, and connectivity solutions. The individual will also provide technical guidance and help resolve network issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with cross-functional technical teams and leadership to evaluate current and future network capacity needs.

  2. Creates and maintains documentation related to network architecture, configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.

  3. Develops, implements, and maintains network administration policies, standards, and disaster recovery strategies.

  4. Installs, configures, and maintains LAN, WAN, wireless, and security infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and related appliances.

  5. Stays current on emerging network technologies, tools, and best practices through research and continuous learning.

  6. Performs upgrades and lifecycle maintenance on network hardware and software. Works with vendors and external partners to resolve issues when needed.

  7. Ensures stable and efficient network operations to meet business needs and performance expectations.

  8. Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and ensures connectivity across servers, endpoints, and network devices.

  9. Manages network assets, inventory, and configuration records.

  10. Provides ongoing performance reporting and participates in administering and improving network security controls.


Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise networks
• Strong experience with routing and switching technologies
• Experience administering enterprise firewalls and security platforms
• Knowledge of load balancing technologies and traffic management concepts
• Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, YAML)
• Familiarity with network monitoring/visibility tools
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, CISSP) preferred
• Experience with cloud networking or SD-WAN considered a plus
