Job Overview

The State of Michigan DTMB is seeking an experienced Programmer 3 to support enterprise web application development and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Angular, .NET, Azure DevOps, and AWS Cloud Migration, along with experience working in Agile environments and developing secure, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular and .NET

Collaborate with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and project teams to gather and implement technical requirements

Develop reusable, secure, and scalable application components following State of Michigan standards

Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and functional designs

Participate in code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and Agile ceremonies

Perform unit, integration, and system testing using Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Develop test plans, test cases, and technical documentation

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve application defects

Support change management, configuration management, and deployment processes

Develop user manuals and provide user training as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

6+ years of experience with Angular Development

6+ years of experience with .NET Technologies

6+ years of experience using Azure DevOps

6+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Migration

Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Strong understanding of secure software development practices (Secure SDLC)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Playwright for integration testing

Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps

Experience working with enterprise batch processing applications

Previous Government or Public Sector project experience
