Department:  Product / Engineering

Location: SF Bay Area, CA (Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in-office.)

core collaboration hours on Pacific Time)

Reports To: Chief Product Officer

Employment Type:    Full-time

Overview

The Senior Technical Project Manager owns end-to-end execution of complex product and engineering projects across MeeruAI''s platform, applications, and shared technical initiatives. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on scope, schedule, dependencies, release readiness, and cross-functional coordination rather than broad portfolio or business program management.

This person turns product and engineering priorities into actionable project plans, manages assumptions, constraints, risks, and change control, drives milestones across teams, and helps the organization deliver high-quality Finance and Accounting AI capabilities with clarity and discipline. The role does not own product prioritization, architecture decisions, or people management.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and manage integrated project plans for key products, platform, and customer-facing technical initiatives, including scope, assumptions, milestones, owners, dependencies, constraints, and critical path.

- Drive day-to-day execution across engineering, product, design, AI, data, QA, security, and integrations teams to keep projects on track.

- Run project cadences such as kickoff meetings, working sessions, status reviews, issue tracking, and retrospectives.

- Identify delivery risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies early, maintain clear risk and issue tracking, and escalate with clear options and recommended actions.

- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate approved priorities into executable release and delivery plans.

- Coordinate test planning, environment readiness, release readiness, deployment planning, and go-live preparation, including QA checkpoints, security and compliance dependencies, documentation, launch criteria, and rollback readiness.

- Maintain clear dashboards, status communications, and decision logs for leadership and core stakeholders.

- Support vendor or integration coordination and other execution details required for successful delivery.

- Manage scope changes, decision capture, and cross-team tradeoff discussions to keep delivery aligned with timing, quality, and launch expectations.

Qualifications

- 7+ years in technical project management or a closely related software delivery role in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software, with a track record that includes at least two major product launches in a 0→1 or high-growth environment.

- Strong track record of delivering complex, multi-team software projects from planning through launch.

- Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments and drive follow-through across senior technical and business stakeholders.

- Strong working knowledge of SDLC, system dependencies, APIs, data flows, test planning, environment management, deployment planning, and release processes.

- Experience managing scope, assumptions, constraints, risks, issues, and changing control across multi-team technical projects.

- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present clearly to executive audiences and drive decisions across senior technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience with delivery tooling such as Jira, Linear, or equivalent project tracking platforms is preferred.

- Background in enterprise software, Finance or Accounting systems, or AI-enabled products is a plus.

What Good Looks Like

- Projects have clear scope, owners, dates, dependencies, and escalation paths.

- Leadership has an accurate view of delivery status, key risks, and changes that could affect timing or quality.

- Engineering and Product teams stay aligned without unnecessary process overhead or ambiguity in execution ownership.

- Releases are coordinated across testing, environments, dependencies, and launch readiness, with fewer surprises late in the cycle.
