Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Release Manager to lead and manage enterprise release processes for Salesforce and .NET applications. The ideal candidate will architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement DevOps best practices, and ensure smooth, secure, and compliant software delivery across multiple environments.

The role requires strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Salesforce release management, CI/CD automation, and enterprise change governance. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, operations, and security to coordinate complex releases while minimizing risk and ensuring operational stability.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage enterprise release management strategies for multi-tier applications across multiple environments.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for Salesforce and .NET applications.
  • Manage Salesforce deployments using Gearset, ensuring proper metadata management, version control, and rollback strategies.
  • Coordinate application releases for .NET applications through automated Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Implement Salesforce sandbox management strategies, including data seeding and environment refresh cycles.
  • Establish and enforce ITIL-based change management and release governance processes.
  • Automate software delivery pipelines and environment provisioning to improve deployment efficiency.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, manage deployment schedules, and support post-release incident triage.
  • Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and coordinate enterprise change approvals.
  • Track and report key DevOps metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and rollback metrics.
  • Perform root cause analysis for failed releases and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Mentor development teams on DevOps practices, automation, and change control processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise DevOps architecture and release lifecycle management.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL change management frameworks.
  • Experience managing regulated and compliance-driven enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps Engineering, Software Engineering, or Configuration Management.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce releases using Gearset.
  • Proven experience managing releases for Salesforce and .NET applications in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Git, source-driven development, and Salesforce DX.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps Boards for work item tracking and Confluence for release planning and documentation.
