About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Information Security Engineer to join our team as a contingent resource. In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of security solutions across enterprise environments. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address moderately complex security engineering challenges and ensure alignment with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities - Participate in planning and execution of moderately complex security engineering initiatives.
- Analyze and resolve technical challenges related to identity and access management (IAM) and single sign-on (SSO) platforms.
- Provide consultation and support for application security in distributed, mission-critical environments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet deliverables and ensure secure integration of systems and applications.
- Apply knowledge of security protocols, standards, and compliance frameworks to engineering tasks.
Minimum Qualifications - 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent (e.g., consulting, military, education).
- 4+ years of experience with security applications and systems.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting SSO platforms (e.g., Okta, Ping).
- Proficiency in authentication and authorization standards including Agent-Based, Web-Based, and Federated models.
- Strong working knowledge of SSO protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, and SAML 2.0.
Preferred Qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, MFA, risk-based authentication, and privileged access management.
- Familiarity with IAM deployments in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of enterprise system architecture including front-end, middleware, services, databases, and integrations.
- Experience with technical documentation related to storage, middleware, or virtualization.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization strategies.
