Position Summary
We are seeking a senior, business-facing Principal AI Solution Architect to support a strategic client in the Multifamily mortgage space. This person will work directly with executive and business stakeholders to identify where AI can deliver the highest value, define practical starting points, shape pilot and roadmap recommendations, and provide confidence on how to proceed.
This is not a pure engineering role and not a pure strategy role. The ideal candidate can bridge business priorities, operational workflows, data realities, AI capabilities, governance requirements, and pilot execution planning. They must be comfortable leading ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating opportunities such as document-heavy operational workflows into actionable AI solutions.
What This Person Will Do
- Partner directly with senior client leaders to understand business priorities, current-state pain points, and where AI can realistically deliver value
- Help the client prioritize use cases across areas such as document-heavy operational processes
- Lead workshops and discovery sessions with business, operations, risk, and technology stakeholders
- Assess current workflows, data sources, governance constraints, and operational readiness
- Define practical AI solution options, including:
- discovery engagements
- focused pilots
- phased roadmap recommendations
- acceleration of work already underway
- Translate ambiguous executive goals into structured solution recommendations, business cases, and implementation roadmaps
- Develop AI-enabled operating concepts that are governed, explainable, and human-in-the-loop, not black-box experiments
- Recommend target-state solution architectures, data requirements, workflow changes, controls, and rollout approach
- Create executive-ready materials including strategy documents, roadmaps, use case assessments, pilot plans, and decision support content
- Work alongside delivery, engineering, data, and business teams to shape solutions that are realistic and executable
- Help the client evaluate tradeoffs around scope, complexity, speed, investment, and organizational readiness
- Provide steady leadership and confidence in an area where the client wants to move forward but is not yet fully committed on direction
