Summary
Title: Telecommunications Project Lead — Remote / Hybrid (Nationwide)
Location: Remote or Hybrid near any major U.S. city (Nationwide)
Employment Type: W-2 Contract
Duration: ~5 months remaining (through January 2027)

About the Role
Eight openings are available for Telecommunications Project Leads to join a major engineering firm supporting large-scale industrial and high-tech facility projects across the country. You can work fully remote if you live more than 50 miles from office, or hybrid (2 days/week in-office) if you live within 50 miles.
This role is open to multiple seniority levels — the rate and title will be calibrated to your experience and location. If you have a background in telecom design, security systems, or life safety/fire alarm design, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead telecom scope on large, complex, multi-discipline engineering projects
• Design Outside Plant (OSP), backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired/wireless device plans, and cable schedules
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and multi-discipline design leads
• Interface directly with client counterparts to design to their requirements
• Produce design deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and SmartPlant
• Apply NEC, TIA, and other applicable industry standards to all designs
Required Experience (Any One Qualifies)
• Telecom / structured cabling / OSP design experience, OR
• Security systems design experience (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection), OR
• Life safety / fire alarm design experience (NFPA 72, NFPA 101)
Preferred Qualifications
• BICSI certifications: RCDD, OSP, RTPM, or DCDC
• Knowledge of TIA standards and BICSI design practices
• Experience with semiconductor or data center facility design
• Knowledge of DAS and emergency responder radio systems
• Project management experience
