Sr. Cybersecurity Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and deliver complex cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for driving the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects involving cybersecurity tools, systems, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, project management, and cross-functional leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage cybersecurity projects with moderate to high complexity, scope, and risk
• Oversee full project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
• Develop detailed project plans, scope documents, and work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Track milestones, budgets, and resource allocation; adjust plans as needed
• Manage financials including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Communicate project status to stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder discussions
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and customer expectations
• Support business case development and strategic initiatives
• Mentor junior project managers as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT and/or Cybersecurity Project Management
• Bachelor s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
• CompTIA Security+ certification or Cybersecurity certiffication
• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and controls
• Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project
• Strong skills in risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile Scrum Master experience
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or higher)
• Experience managing enterprise-level cybersecurity initiatives
