Job Description

We are seeking an 10+ experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong expertise in data integration and hands-on experience connecting SAP with external systems such as Oracle or custom applications through AWS S3 and Redshift. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend industry best practices, and design and implement scalable data solutions.

This role involves participation in design workshops, requirement analysis, configuration, testing phases, and ongoing Agile ceremonies including sprint discussions and status updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integration solutions between SAP and external applications using AWS S3, Redshift, and related AWS services
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical architectures
• Develop and optimize data models, ETL workflows, and data warehousing solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and serverless frameworks
• Support requirement workshops, design sessions, configuration, and testing activities
• Work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments and provide timely progress updates
• Engage with business and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in data management and integration
• 3 5 years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Expertise in Python, SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies:
• Redshift and S3 (mandatory)
• EC2 (preferred)
• AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, serverless services
• Amazon EMR, Data Lakes
• Experience integrating SAP with external applications (Oracle / legacy systems) via AWS
• Experience in conducting design workshops, requirements gathering, configuration, and testing
