Location: East Syracuse, NY Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: Starting at $62,500

The Role

Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver who loves helping people? We are looking for an IT Support Technician to be the backbone of our client’s technology environment. In this role, you’ll do more than just close tickets—you’ll manage the full lifecycle of IT assets and ensure a seamless tech experience for a diverse team of professionals.

What You’ll Do

• User Support: Act as the first line of defense for technical inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. You’ll handle everything from new user onboarding/offboarding to remote field support.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

• Project Collaboration: Assist with high-impact IT projects, including hardware upgrades, software deployments, and system migrations.

• Asset Management: Lead the "cradle-to-grave" process for IT hardware—ordering, imaging, tagging, tracking, and secure disposal.

• Systems & Security: Perform routine updates to ensure optimal performance and security across all company devices.

What You’ll Bring

• Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Windows OS, common business applications, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).

• Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and prior professional support experience.

• Soft Skills: A "customer-first" mentality with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Certifications: CompTIA+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar certifications are a big plus.

Requirements

• Physical: Ability to sit for extended periods (80%) and occasionally lift equipment weighing 60–80 lbs.

• Travel: Occasional travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
