Lead Mobility Core Decomm Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Alpharetta, GA that is looking for a Mobility Core Decomm Engineer to support maintaining and decommissioning of Legacy Core Network hardware.

Responsibilities:
* Act as both a voice of authority and knowledge in troubleshooting
* Decommissioning - get old equipment out of network
* Consolidation - lightly loaded switches to highly loaded switches
* Residual traffic/calls not expected
* Technical troubleshooting
* SQL - a lot of capacity engineering - go into Snowflake to pull call data/counter related to the switches
* Will need to be on call; On call for a week at a time from Monday evening - Monday morning, India resource that picks up calls - will only call if something significantly bad happens; Weekends 24/7 on call

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
* End to End Call Flow Understanding between an IMS core to PSTN endpoints
* Experience with realtime log analysis to support outage troubleshooting
* Experience with capacity management and planning
* Experience with Protocol Analyzer Use and Data Collection - Access7, IRIS, Radcom
* Familiar with basic hardware and replace broken parts, help with outages, data gathering that vendors might want

* VSE Chassis
* Passport 15000 Media Gateway
* Ericsson GSM Media Gateway BC4002 - mMGW
* Core Billing Manager - CBM
* OAU Alarm unit

Experience with Nokia Hardware:
* LCP 9380 MSC-MGCF
* 7510 Media Gateway
* 7520 Media Gateway

Experience with:
* SOS Navigation - Nortel
* FS and MI GUI - Nokia
* Wireless Translations both Nortel and Nokia
* ISUP Protocol
* SIP Protocol
* SIP-I Protocol
* TCPDUMP and Wireshark
* Excel Pivot Tables
* SQL Queries
* CALLTRAK, TRACEME - Nortel
* Call Trace - Nokia

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
