Job Title: Lead Java Developer

Location: New Jersey (Local Candidates Only)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to design, develop, and lead high-performing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in modern Java technologies along with proven leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Java technologies
Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of developers
Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and requirements
Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Ensure application performance, security, and reliability
Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
Expertise in Microservices Architecture
Experience with REST APIs and Web Services
Hands-on with Hibernate / JPA
Experience with Kafka / Messaging systems
Strong knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
Knowledge of React / Angular (nice to have)
Exposure to DevOps practices
Prior experience in a Lead or Architect role

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of IT experience with at least 2 3 years in a leadership role

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills required
