Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in medical devices, electrical design, sustaining engineering, and test fixture development. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a regulated product environment and supporting electrical systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support for medical equipment and product sustaining activities.
  • Investigate field issues and product failures using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D, and failure-analysis methodologies.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive engineering design changes through ECR/ECO processes and support associated verification and validation activities.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
  • Support compliance with applicable medical-device standards, including IEC 60601.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Service, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Support reliability engineering activities including FMEA, failure analysis, and design reviews.
  • Provide technical support for PCBAs, electrical assemblies, test systems, and related hardware.
  • Support component obsolescence, substitutions, and product lifecycle management.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and validate jigs, fixtures, prototypes, and electrical test setups for manufacturing, testing, and design verification.
  • Participate in product improvement and sustaining engineering initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4 8 years of relevant electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Experience working in the medical device, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of IEC 60601 or related medical electrical safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test fixtures, jigs, prototypes, or test systems.
  • Experience with ECR/ECO and engineering change processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, PCBAs, and electrical assemblies.
  • Experience with verification/validation and product testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAPA, 8D, FMEA, and failure analysis.
  • Experience with FDA-regulated medical products.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and medical-device quality systems.
  • Experience with component obsolescence and lifecycle management.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
