Product Manager – Healthcare EHR Implementation (Technical Lead)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager / Technical Lead to support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of a statewide Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for the Vermont Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA).

The selected candidate will serve as the technical lead for healthcare technology initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, project managers, implementation teams, and EHR vendors to deliver high-quality solutions that support school-based healthcare services across the state.

This role requires a strong blend of Product Management, Technical Leadership, Healthcare IT, System Integration, and Stakeholder Management experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Product Management or Technical Leadership experience
• Experience leading large-scale Healthcare IT or EHR implementations
• Strong understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, and interface management
• Experience overseeing data migration initiatives
• Strong Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project delivery experience
• Experience working with software development teams and SDLC methodologies
• Vendor management and stakeholder engagement experience
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• Experience with release management and deployment activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience with public sector or government projects
• Experience supporting statewide healthcare initiatives
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience with cloud-based healthcare platforms
• Product Owner or Agile certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Lead and Product Manager for EHR implementation initiatives
• Collaborate with state agencies, school districts, vendors, and project teams
• Lead technical planning, solution design, testing, deployment, and release activities
• Manage EHR integrations and data migration efforts
• Evaluate technical solutions and recommend best practices
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
• Support Agile project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in steering committee and stakeholder meetings
• Oversee vendor deliverables and implementation activities
• Ensure successful rollout and adoption of EHR solutions
