--- Project Description ---
Adult Services Automated Project (ASAP.net) Federal Changes
The position is for an experienced IT Specialist to assist the program
area with documenting, developing, and maintain business applications
and processes and system requests for the adult protective services
statewide database ASAP.Net for compliance with new federal
requirements, check current systems reports for accuracy against
current scripts and intended outputs,be responsible for tracking work
products and enhance requests, create desk support guides,and assist
with testing. ASAP.Net is the statewide system of record for the local
social services agency outside of NYC to track referrals, eligibility
decisions and ongoing casework for adult protective services.
ASAP.Net needs a complete update/change to be compliant with the
new federal Client regualations and has pre-determinted reports
generated within the system and reports run through COGNOS that live
in the OCFS Data Wharehouse. The whole system and the pre-
determined reports must be re-evaluated due to coding issues.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. The IT Specialist would: 1-Meet with program staff to learn the current
system requirements in ASAP.Net, learn the purpose of the existing
reports in ASAP.Net and COGNOS, 2- Create and follow a set plan for
design system changes 3-Check each pre-determined report for
accuracy against the current scripts, 4-Meet with a report developer
under another PERF to review reports against current scripts and
develop new scripts as required, 5- Facilitate business process
information meetings with program staff, document processes, provide
updates and meeting notes and product for program review,
2. 6-Document new/enhancement requirements requested by program,
facilitate requirements to report developer, 7-Assist with testing, 8-
Develop and maintain user support guides, 9-Develop and maintain
high-level system requirements, and 10-Assist with tacking work
products and report requests, document business processes and
systems.
--- Required Qualifications ---
84 Months experience in facilitating meetings with users to identify & gather
business needs, business rules & security requirements
72 months experience in validation of requirements against application
performing unit & regression testing
60 months experience in developing complex reports into PDF and Excel
60 months experience in utilizing systems similar to COGNOS
Bachelor's Degree
