Kforce has a client that is seeking an Okta Security Engineer in Armonk, NY.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Okta Security Engineer to design, implement, and support secure identity and access management solutions across enterprise applications. This role will focus on Okta administration, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), application integrations, and modern authentication protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in identity security and be able to confidently defend architectural decisions and security designs using industry standards, best practices, and risk-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, configure, and support Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
* Implement and maintain SSO, MFA, and application integrations across cloud and web-based platforms
* Configure and support authentication and authorization flows using OAuth 2.0; OpenID Connect (OIDC); SAML 2.0; JWTs; API Keys; ID and Access Tokens; On-Behalf-Of and delegated authentication flows
* Integrate enterprise applications with Okta while ensuring secure authentication and authorization standards
* Collaborate with application development teams to implement secure identity solutions within modern web applications
* Participate in architecture reviews and security design discussions, providing recommendations aligned with industry standards and best practices
* Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, federation, and access-related issues
* Support deployment processes and coordinate identity-related changes during releases
* Work closely with security, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions
* Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and implementation guides

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with Okta administration and identity provider (IdP) configuration
* Experience integrating enterprise and custom applications with identity providers
* Experience supporting application deployment and release processes
* Hands-on expertise implementing SSO and MFA solutions
* Deep understanding of modern authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, API-based authentication, and token-based security models
* Strong understanding of web application architecture and secure application design
* Familiarity with modern web technologies, preferably React and Node.js environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain, justify, and defend security designs based on established standards rather than opinion

Preferred Qualifications:
* Security certifications related to IAM, cloud security, or identity governance are a plus
* Experience with network policies, firewall configurations, and infrastructure-related security controls
* Knowledge of secure cloud application architectures

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
