Overview

The Demand Analyst plays a key role in managing and governing technology demand from initial intake through prioritization and decision-making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to ensure requests are clearly defined, properly assessed, and aligned with organizational priorities. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and comfortable communicating with senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

<>Technology Intake & Demand Management

• Own and manage the end-to-end technology request (TSR) intake process from submission through governance decision
• Review and pre-screen incoming requests to ensure clarity of scope, defined outcomes, dependencies, and readiness for assessment
• Triage and route requests to the appropriate intake, assessment, or governance path based on defined criteria
• Partner with Product Owners and requestors through working sessions to clarify expectations, assumptions, and success measures

<>Assessment Coordination, Governance & Escalations

• Coordinate initial IT assessments and consolidate high-level estimates, risks, and capacity considerations
• Prepare governance or operations board agendas, intake summaries, and supporting decision materials
• Track governance decisions, action items, and follow-ups; communicate outcomes and next steps to stakeholders
• Identify intake bottlenecks, conflicting priorities, or stalled requests and escalate with clear options and impact analysis

<>Reporting, Visibility & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards to provide visibility into demand volume, status, cycle time, and pipeline health
• Produce concise, executive-ready PowerPoint updates for leadership and governance forums
• Identify and implement improvements to intake processes, templates, and reporting to increase efficiency and reduce rework

Required Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Technology Intake/Demand Analyst, Governance Analyst, or similar role
• Experience supporting technology intake, prioritization, governance, or portfolio-related processes
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards
• Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce clear, executive-level materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT or enterprise demand intake processes
• Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and/or Confluence
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery environments and portfolio management concepts
