Role: Oracle Cloud Financial/PPM Architect
Location: Remote/ 10% travel to TX or MI

Role Summary
An Oracle Cloud Financial / PPM (Project Portfolio Management) Architect is a senior IT professional responsible for leading the design, architecture, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Cloud Financials and PPM solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project delivery teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. The architect serves as the technical and functional authority across financial and project management processes within the Oracle Cloud ERP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead the architecture and design of Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, AP, AR, CM, FA, Tax, SLA) and PPM solutions.
- Develop end-to-end functional designs, including finance processes (e.g., Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report) and project financials.
- Define and map integration requirements between Oracle modules and external systems (e.g., procurement, HR, third-party apps).
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with overall enterprise architecture.
2. Implementation Leadership
- Lead full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, solution modelling, and business process optimization using Oracle best practices.
- Oversee key workshops like CRP (Conference Room Pilot), SIT (System Integration Testing), and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Guide technical and functional teams, including offshore/onshore consultants, developers, and analysts.
3. PPM Focused Activities
- Architect Oracle Cloud PPM modules including Project Financial Management, Project Resource Management, Project Contracts, Billing, and Project Performance Reporting.
- Ensure PPM processes are tightly integrated with Financial modules and aligned to client s project accounting and billing requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leads (FIN, SCM, HCM) to optimize enterprise project workflows.
4. Governance & Best Practices
- Define and enforce solution standards, architectural guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Provide documentation such as requirements, architecture diagrams, functional specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, promoting Oracle best practices across teams.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and clients on solution strategy, risks, and impact of proposed changes.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with senior stakeholders to gather business requirements and confirm designs.
- Support pre-sales activities with solution proposals, demos, and estimations.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Technical Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle Financials and PPM implementations, including multiple full lifecycle Oracle Cloud projects.
- Deep functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, AP, AR, CM, FA) and Oracle Cloud PPM modules.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, project accounting, and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience in solution architecture, integration strategies (APIs, middleware), and configuration documentation.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and design effective Oracle Cloud ERP solutions.

Preferred
- Oracle certifications in Cloud Financials or PPM.
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, reporting tools like OTBI/BIP, or additional modules (SCM, HCM).
- Consulting experience in global or multi-industry engagements.
