Senior Data Engineers

Senior Data Engineers for Randstad Digital, LLC. Multiple openings. Headquarters: Woburn, MA. Develop and design pipelines for batch and streaming data workloads, solutions, modules, components, code, libraries, parameterized ingestion frameworks for data processing, data lakehouse architecture. Review optimization, performance, scalability, cloud platforms, open-source data engineering tools, relational databases, APIs, partitioning, caching, security, schema evaluation, source control branching strategy, pull requests, versioning. Write queries for data extraction, validation, window functions, nested subqueries to support data reconciliation and analytical reporting. Confer with stakeholders and IT teams to analyze requirements. Diagnose issues, anomalies, bottlenecks and bugs, and troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis. Ensure practices comply with internal standards, policies, and data governance. Contribute to data engineering best practices in code, testing, version control and documentation. Configure job types, automate data ingestion and transformation workflows. Analyze client/user needs, recommend modifications, and formulate test plans. Use ETL, PySpark, SQL, Git, AWS, Azure, S3, ADLS, Spark, Hive, RDBMS, CI/CD, Autosys, Apache Iceberg, GitHub, GitFlow, Python. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have at least one (1) year of experience developing pipelines, code, data lakehouse architecture, reporting; supporting data processing, data reconciliation, data ingestion; reviewing APIs, validation, requirements; performing testing; using ETL, PySpark, SQL, AWS, Azure, S3, ADLS, Spark, Hive, CI/CD. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. $178,132 to $178,150 /yr.
