Join our team and create your future.

A Cloud Engineer (Azure Focus) is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services across our multi-cloud and virtualization environments, with a primary and growing emphasis on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. While software developers focus on building applications, Cloud Engineers build and maintain the secure, scalable "digital world" that powers them.

As our Azure environment grows, this role will increasingly concentrate on Azure; in the near term, the engineer must also be capable across AWS and VMware to support and operate our existing infrastructure during that transition.

Core Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Provision and configure virtual machines (VMs), storage, and networking components across Azure, AWS, and VMware environments.
  • Automation (IaC): Use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to automate deployments, with Terraform supporting multi-cloud consistency.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), firewalls, and encryption to protect data.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, along with equivalent AWS and VMware tooling, to track performance and optimize cloud costs.
  • CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline application code releases using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup and failover strategies to ensure 99.99% system availability.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have a majority of the below and a hunger to learn the rest:
  • Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for task automation.
  • Networking: Deep understanding of VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute, with transferable knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, security groups) and VMware networking.
  • Containerization: Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and Docker containers.
  • Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with IaaS (VMs, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, SQL, Functions).
  • Multi-Cloud & Virtualization: Working experience with AWS and VMware (vSphere/ESXi) sufficient to operate and support existing workloads.

Required Experience
  • 3-5+ years in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related role, with demonstrated hands-on Azure experience.

Preferred Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certifications (preferred, not required):
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (or equivalent)
  • Additional Experience (preferred):
    • Prior exposure to AWS and VMware environments, strongly preferred.
    • Production experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
    • Hands-on work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
    • Experience operating in a multi-cloud or hybrid environment
    • Familiarity with enterprise networking, identity management, and security/compliance frameworks
